Kinder Surprise Uovo Maxi chocolate recalled from UAE market

The Ministry of Climate Change and Environment (MOCCAE) issued a recall for Kinder chocolate product from the UAE market in light of the salmonella outbreak in several European countries. Two batches of Kinder Surprise Uova Maxi Chocolate 100g with the expiry date of October 1, 2022, have been ordered to be immediately removed from retail outlets and must be destroyed or returned to the manufacturer in Belgium. The Ferrero Group has recently withdrawn batches of Kinder Surprise Maxi 100g manufactured in Belgium with the expiry date of October 1, 2022, from UAE and Qatar as a precautionary measure last Wednesday (April 6)noopener">Kinder Surprise chocolate egg recalled in UAE over salmonella scare Aside from the recall of the Kinder Surprise product, the Ministry will enforce stricter control measures on other products from the Kinder manufacturer Ferrero that are being sold in the UAE. Ferrero has been in cooperation with Belgian food control authorities in investigating the salmonella connection and updating the list of affected products and countries. This is the first time the company encountered this kind of incident.
