South Korea to resume visa-free entry for Filipinos, Indians, Emiratis and international travelers to Jeju and Yangyang
DUBAI - South Korea will resume visa-free entry in Jeju and Yangyang for qualified travelers from the UAE and other countries starting June 1, Interior Minister Jeon Hae-cheol said on Wednesday (May 4).
The visa-waiver programme has been suspended for more than two years since February 4, 2020 due to the pandemic.
Starting on June 1, travelers from a total of 169 countries including the UAE, Philippines, India, GCC, Canada, Britain, South Africa and Indonesia can have a visa-free stay on the southern resort island of Jeju for up to 30 days.
The visa-free entry does not apply to travelers from these 24 countries: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cameroon, Cuba, Egypt, Gambia, Ghana, Iran, Iraq, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Pakistan, Palestine, Senegal, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan and Yemen.
