659 prisoners of different nationalities pardoned by Sheikh Mohammed

It has been a tradition in Dubai and other Emirates to release prisoners ahead of Ramadan as a way of giving them a chance to start anew and reintegrate themselves into society. This year, 659 prisoners of different nationalities have been released by his highness, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktum, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Chancellor Essam Issa Al Humaidan, the Attorney General of Dubai said that Sheikh Mohammed ordered to pardon of the prisoners in order to give them an opportunity to start a new life and alleviate their families' hardship. The ruler of Sharjah released 210 inmates, meanwhile, the ruler of RAK released 345 prisoners as well. JMS/Expat Media
