4 Arabs arrested in Abu Dhabi over 600,000 drug capsules hidden in slabs

  Four Arab men were arrested in Abu Dhabi for trying to smuggle 600,000 capsules of illegal drugs, according to Abu Dhabi Police on Thursday (May 26). The capsules of Captagon, a highly addictive amphetamine, were hidden inside slabs. Police said the suspects planned to distribute the illegal drugs in the UAE. Brigadier Taher Ghareeb Al Dhaheri, Director of the Anti-Narcotics Directorate, said that the gang tried to hide the drugs in the slabs used for construction. “But the efficient and competent law enforcement officers prevented them from achieving their goal,” Al Dhaheri said.
