UAE surpasses 10,000 Covid-19 cases as 536 new cases reported on April 26

  DUBAI – The number of coronavirus cases in the UAE jumped to 10,349 on Sunday (April 26) after the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention announced 536 new Covid-19 cases. The ministry also announced that 91 more people recovered from Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of recoveries to 1,978. Five people died of Covid-19 on Sunday, bringing the total number of Covid-19 deaths in the UAE to 76. Meanwhile, an official said that no new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in Dubai’s Naif area in the past few days. Naif, considered one of Dubai’s oldest business hubs, remains in lockdown as part of precautionary measures against the spread of coronavirus. Federal National Council member Dherar Belhoul Al Falasi welcomed the improvement in Naif but said that Covid-19 screenings are continuing. So far, at least 6,391 people in the area have already been tested. ICA/Expat Media
