UAE weather: dusty conditions but rain expected
Dusty weather will continue in the UAE this week, with some light rain expected in parts of the country, according to the National Center of Meteorology (NCM).
Light rain is expected on Monday and Tuesday, but the rest of the week will experience hot and dusty conditions in general, according to NCM.
On Sunday (June 12), the temperature will be a notch lower, reaching a maximum of 43C in internal areas, and 38C in coastal areas and islands. Here’s the 5-day weather forecast:
Sunday, June 12
Fair in general and dusty at times during daytime especially Westward. Some low clouds will appear over Eastern coast by morning. Humid by night and Monday morning with a chance of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas especially Westward. Moderate winds freshening at times during daytime causing blowing and suspended dust. The sea will be rough to moderate during daytime becoming slight at night in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to rough at times in Oman sea.
Monday, June 13
Fair in general. Some clouds will appear Eastward may be associated with light rainfall. With a gradual increase in temperatures. Humid by night and Tuesday morning with a chance of fog or mist formation over some coastal and internal areas especially Westward. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust during daytime Eastward, with a speed of 10 - 25 reaching 40km/hr. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and moderate to slight in Oman Sea.
Tuesday, June 14
