Real estate brokers assist in selling or leasing out properties in the UAE and can make thousands of dirhams in commissions in just a single transaction. According to the Dubai Land Department, these professionals made Dh571 million in commissions in the first six months of this year alone. The biggest commissions went to 5,181 brokers in the country. Dubai real estate transactions in the first half of 2018 reached Dh111 billion. Emirati investors were the biggest property buyers, with 2,986 investments worth Dh6.8 billion. Indian nationals were the second biggest property investors, pouring in Dh5.9 billion into the market.
