Abu Dhabi accumulates over 101k tons of waste during Ramadan and Eid

Authorities in Abu Dhabi revealed that over 101,570 tonnes of solid trash were collected during Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. According to the Abu Dhabi Waste Management Centre (Tadweer), waste collection is part of an integrated action plan implemented during this period. The plan included targeted public awareness campaigns that reflected its mission to provide high-quality services and ensure a healthy and safe environment in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Tadweer has worked to improve municipal solid waste collection and transportation services throughout Ramadan and Eid Al Fitr. The facility accomplished the efforts by increasing the number of sanitation employees, containers, cleaning equipment, and waste transport trucks deployed around the emirate to provide municipal and solid waste collection, transportation services, and public sanitation.
