5 Asians jailed in Dubai for beating man to death in Naif

  DUBAI – Five Asian men are now in jail for beating another Asian man to death on a public road in Dubai’s Naif area. The Dubai Court of Appeals increased their jail term from three years in jail to five years, and also upheld a deportation order. According to records, the case dates back to May 2021 when Dubai Police received a call about an Asian man being assaulted on the road in Naif. Police rushed to the scene where the victim was already found dead. Police were able to track down and arrest the suspects. One of the suspects confessed that he convinced the group to attack the victim, whom he said reported him to the police, which led to his arrest. The group said they did not intend to kill the victim when they beat him up. A forensic report confirmed that the victim died from a fractured skull and internal bleeding. ICA/Expat Media
