Sharjah Consultative Council approves draft law to reorganise LSDA

  SHARJAH - The Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) approved a draft law to reorganise the Labour Standards Development Authority (LSDA). This came during SCC’s session on Thursday at its headquarters in Sharjah. Ali Mehad Ali Mehad Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SCC, headed the session. The session was attended by Salem Yousef Al Qaseer, Chairman of Labour Standards Development Authority and Sheikh Mohammed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Director of Labour Standards Development Authority. Also present were Legal Adviser Humaid bin Dimas; Eisa Saif bin Handhal, Director of Sharjah Government Legal Department; and Sultan Humaid Al Jarwan, Legal Researcher at Sharjah Government Legal Department. The LSDA was established in June 2014 to facilitate an ideal work environment in Sharjah. The LSDA aims at providing support to workers and employers in cooperation with government offices and private companies, to enhance performance of the labour sector.ICA/Expat Media
