Emirati pop singer Alira stuns crowd at Dubai concert

  DUBAI – Emirati singer and songwriter Alira stunned the crowd at the Dubai concert with Michael Learns to Rock and Boyce Avenue, wowing the audience with his unique vocals on Thursday (December 2). The Take Flight hit maker, whose pop song is now trending on TikTok, was the face of the emirates’ young generation of singers on the UAE’s golden year anniversary. “I’m sure we’re all happy and proud to be part of this beautiful country,” Alira told the packed crowd at Festival Arena for the UAE Golden Year Music Festival. The concert, which coincided with the UAE’s 50th anniversary, was produced and organized by Creative Minds Events Organizing. “I’m actually very, very honored to be sharing the stage with legendary bands Michael Learns To Rock and Boyce Avenue,” the 26-year-old rising Emirati pop star said. Alira opened his performance with his empowering rendition of This is Me, as words of inspiration—which he picked himself—flashed on the screen behind him. His trademark countertenor vocals—the equivalent of a male soprano sound—filled the stage as he appeared for his debut public performance. Alira ended his performance with his cover of My Heart Will Go On, stunning the audience with his wide vocal range and a perfectly poised whistle. “Stay blessed, stay hopeful.. each and every one of you matters. Each and every one of you counts. You’re beautiful, you’re unique, you’re special,” he told the crowd at the end of the performance.
