Dubai scraps GDRFA approval for returning expats, residents

  DUBAI – Dubai residents returning to the emirate from abroad will no longer need approval from the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA). Emirates airline confirmed in emails sent to passengers from February 11 that the GDRFA approval will no longer be required for Dubai visa holders. The latest measure reportedly went into effect from February 12. Currently, Dubai residents will only need to present a negative Covid-19 PCR test result taken not more than 72 hours before their flight to Dubai. ICA/Expat Media
