DHA's Salama medical record system gets an upgrade
Dubai Health Authority (DHA)’s electronic medical record system gets an upgrade for DHA hospital patients to have easier access to healthcare systems digitally.
The e-medical record system Salama is now available in all DHA hospitals, primary healthcare centers specialty centers, medical fitness centers, and other private health-related facilities.
The Salama systems allow patients to have access to their digital records, see medications, book online appointments, be reminded of upcoming appointments, have access to clinical results, and enable patients to have telehealth and teleconsultation, all from the comforts of their homes.
To keep pace with the current technology and future requirements, the systems have been upgraded with several features such as using the DHA app to access their own or their family member’s medical records with the highest level of data privacy and security.
From medical professionals’ point of view, the systems allow doctors and staff to deliver medicine to patients’ rooms, maintain medicine stocks to the required levels, document and classify medicines accurately, add comments and notes, review and audit documents, and provide medical orders as required by the patients.
Salama has been integrated with private labs, government, and semi-government entities.
The system currently holds more than 5 million patient medical records and can be accessed through the DHA app. KSO/Expat Media
